Worse yet? The bath drain and the toilet are bunched up as much in that corner as they could possibly be, and it’s difficult to clean, and prone to mold!

Remedies need to be inexpensive and non-destructive.

Remedies already in use:

- Toilet lid stays down.
- Trying to clean more often.
- About to repaint that wall– considering a rosy colour.

Did I mention that the only reasonable place for the litterbox is the bathroom as well?

I don’t think that your kind of fengshui is the chinese fengshui. i think that is the bogus kind, mostly from english published fengshui books. just think about it, if all houses have a toilet, then it will fall into a certain section of the ba gua, and therefore, there will be no perfect place for a toilet in that system. and a perfect house would be one without a toilet!

authentic fengshui is not as simple as that. it has nothing to do with vibes, energy flow nor colors.

energy inside the house can only be calculated using the fengshui concepts. and it cannot be felt and it cannot be sensed.

i know that most people, esp western people, love a quick fix. but fengshui is difficult to understand and assimilate. but it is not a reason to make up a whole new system that does not work.

the purpose of fengshui is to improve life by attracting good health or attracting money into the lives of the occupants of the house. it has nothing to do with interior design of the house. a well designed house can be built based on fengshui, but it does not contain a single chinese looking thing or furniture.

there is even a formula in fengshui, when the toilet is placed at a correct location, it can attract money into your life, whenever you use the flush.

a toilet located at the west can have an influence on daughter/s living in the house. and when the toilet is decorated with flowers or plants, the daughter can be rebelious and go with guys with a bad reputation. thus, it is always adviseable to keep toilet clean and simple.

a leaky toilet can mean that you have unecessary and unexpected expenses; so better to get it fixed.

try this simple fengshui thing to stimulate your personal life: put 4 fresh/ living (not plastic) green plants at the southeast most part of your house. when a plant turn yellow, you need to replace it right away.

you cannot do this if the southeast most is a toilet or a bedroom. and you can only do this until october-november of 2007, as it will be a different location in 2008.

this method can attract more people into your (and occupants of the house) life – these can be good people and they can also be bad people. it does not choose. so when things get out of hand, just remove these plants.

regarding the people you are attracting, these can mean clients, lover, friends, etc.

to know the southeast most part of your house. locate the center point of the house – if the lot where the house is is a rectangle, the point where 2 diagonal lines intersect is the center. go to this place literally, and use a compass to locate the southeast most – near the edge of your house, away from the center.

I live at home, so can only really redecorate my own bedroom. I was looking on Yahoo! about Feng Shui and thought it’d be cool to bring some luck and love into my life by having a fish bowl in my room. Some people say 6 gold, 1 black fish, some say 7 gold and 1 black goldfish. Does anyone know for sure?

I was also reading some other answers/tips about Feng Shui and a person said not to put water features in your bedroom like an aquarium.

That puts a damp on my idea of putting a fish tank in my room.
Is it true that gold fish need 5-10 gallons of water each? That is an awful lot! Maybe 2 gold and 1 black goldfish is okay?

Love your opinions and expertise!

first bedroom should not have any water feature like an aquarium. because water is such a powerful element that it can turn a bedroom into more yang. thus, you will have some problems sleeping and living in that bedroom. likewise, a bedroom should not have any plants either.

water features are only used in fengshui basically not to decorate but more to activate an area. but in fengshui, it is also important to do it subtly – thus, others wouldn’t suspect that you’re using fengshui.

How is Feng Shui important?

Posted on January 28th, 2010 in Feng Shui love | 7 Comments »

I know Feng Shui is to create positive energy and I love it to death. I want to know: What good does it do?
www.shiseidocity.blogspot.com

Feng Shui is very important, even if you don’t believe in it. It is the art of achieving harmony through your surroundings. Based upon the philosophy of chi and natural energy, one can manipulate the science of Feng Shui for your personal aspirations. You can use Feng Shui in your home, office or even building.

In a nutshell, truly traditional Feng Shui helps you attain your aspirations faster and with less problems when applied correctly. The new age Feng Shui pretty much focuses more on your psychologically mindset.

Personally, what Feng Shui does for me is allow me to understand why certain things happen and give me a better sense of control in life. Knowing that you have this science on your side to help you get what you want is a big boost :) .

I read that blue brings creativity and knowledge and pink is more for love and comfort, I’ve also read that pink can help creativity. Feng Shui is very confusing to me and unfortunately, I don’t have time to take a class or afford a consultant. Any help in this area is greatly appreciated!

Pink walls are OK.

You do not need a class or consultant to tell you what you’ll like.

We are remodeling our kitchen and putting in a half bathroom. The toilet and corner sink will be black. (The washer and dryer will also be in the same room.) The room is located in the "wealth"/ "health and family" areas of the house. With the black toilet and sink, I thought about doing a Mary Englebreit kind of decor. I would like to do something whimsical, but if that’s not "feng shui" enough for the location of the bathroom, I would love to hear some ideas. (I’m pretty sure that we are already starting with bad feng shui with the bathroom being right next to the kitchen!)Thanks in advance for any ideas!

i dont know anything about interior decorating. i just know fengshui.

regarding the kitchen and toilet, there is a fengshui secret that you can consult a fengshui master or a practitioner how to position and locate the stove and the toilet, so that the more you use it, the more you attract wealth into your life. the formulas are pretty complicated to include here.

next, it is not adviseable to decorate the bathroom/ toilet, because it can complicate the lives of the occupants of the house. for example, if you put a plant or some flowers in a toilet located at the west side of your house, your daughter (if you have one) can have a boyfriend who has a bad influence on your daughter and have a rebellious tendencies. and you cant do anything about it.

the same goes with the kitchen.

fengshui and architecture/ decoration usually dont go hand in hand. because fengshui has some rigid rules and formulas, while on the other side, architects and designers wants freedom of expression. fengshui is not about design nor decoration. it is not about painting your house mint green and you will feel calm and cool. it is about measurements and calculations that your house can be optimize for the occupants to have better lives by attracting money and health into their lives.

I love the idea of feng shui and I am looking for ideas and tips to turn my office slach TV room into something special.

Im looking for color schemes, tips, ideas, and a Feng Shui Glossary of where things should go and what items bring good luck etc.. would be great

Thanks!

As you probably know, feng shui involves the study of the flow of energy and dislodging any impediments that would hinder the energy’s flow, mostly where it applies to isolated areas, such as a home or business. Just like a living organism, even on a grander scale, such as the Earth, a living space also has meridians or lines along which energy travels. The principles used to define the layout and arrangements of things in a living space that promotes healthy and happy living are referred to as yin and yang. One is wet and the other is dry. The idea is to allow each to play a part in which a balance is achieved, thereby promoting harmony in the household or success in business. But on a layman’s level it’s really just a matter of common sense. Just keep the clutter out, especially in hallways, windows cleaned with lots of sun light coming in, a fountain or pond to refresh your mind, green plants, and voila! you have a happy harmonious home.

Does anyone have any good ways to bring love into your life?

the concept of love is new to the chinese. in the old days, there is love, they just cannot express it. so they did not formulate anything for this. just look at crouching tiger hidden dragon, the couple didn’t express that they love each other until the end. here is a good way, but it only works until the end of 2007. first, find the center of your whole house. you do this by intersecting 2 diagonal lines of 4 corners of the area where your house is. it is better if your house is square or rectangular in shape. the intersecting dot is the center. next get a compass. go at the center of the house. locate east most and southeast most part of the house. put some (about 4 or more) fresh living green plants here and keep these areas clean! if these areas are a bedroom or a toilet, you cannot do this method. and when a plant turns yellow, you need to replace it right away. this method will not attract love in your life. as i said, the chinese did not formulate any for love per se. but this is the closest. this will stimulate your social life. so, when it gets out of hand, just remove the plants and you’ll be okay. this cannot diferentiate a good person from a bad person. so you need to be choose carefully who you pick as friends. with this method, it is important thing is that the plant must be growing, you can plant new vegies from seeds. you need to produce the wood element in those areas.

Feng-shui? for love.. pink /red candles? to induce romance? Is any f this effective?

red candles is not very feng shui. that’s very Wicca, lol.
get a book on feng shui and check, it’s not all the same for everyone because it depends on you chinese astrological sign versus where and what things must be positioned in your house/room.

Can you tell me something about the ancient art of feng shui?

I can tell you that once you’ve created your romance corner you’ll be more hopeful and therefore more likely to hook up with someone. I hope he shares your enthusiasm for superstition.

how can i arrange a roo..i have 2 cots in a small room with 1 double nd 1 single bed..and yes a baby fridge.

fengshui is not a cure-all. it cannot improve love and relationship. it is not true that fengshui is about furniture arrangement so that they can be in harmony. fengshui is using the energy of 1 or some or all of the 5 elements (fire, earth, metal, water and wood) to increase wealth OR increase health – but it does not improve love or relationship.

Does anybody know what color i should paint my new bedroom according to Feng Shui? I’m separating from my husband and i’m a model and actress and i just rented an apartment and i want to make the right choices since i believe in Feng Shui for health, love, fame, prosperity and wealth, thanks a lot.

It depends where your bedroom is located in your house. If you know how to use a compass, stand in the center of your apartment and aim the compass towards the bedroom.

If your bedroom is in the East or Southeast use Wood Colors Green, Olive, Light Green, Hunter Green, Chartreuse, Teal

If it is in the North use Water Colors Navy Blue, Royal Blue, Light Blue, Black

If it is in the West or Northwest use Metal Colors White Silver, Gold, Copper, Bronze

If it is in the Southwest or Northeast use Earth Colors, Yellow, Tan, Beige, Taupe, Brown, Ochre

If it is in South use Fire Colors, Red, Purple, Orange, Pink, Magenta, Burgundy, Maroon.

Every color can be yin or yang so for a restful sleep use a yin color. Red is a very yang color which may make you restless so pink would be a yin version of red.
Also Peach is great for singles but once you are in a marriage you should repaint.
Since Fame is very important for model/actress make sure you have a lovely picture of yourself in the South part of your home. A red frame would be ideal.
Try to not keep to many items containing old energies from your husband unless your trying to work it out. It keeps new energy and new loves from entering your life.
All the Best Chi for your new apartment.
