the problem with swimming pools is that it contains water, and water is 1 of the 5 elements in fengshui and can activate certain energy or chi. water is usually used to "activate" the fengshui of the house to make its luck current as opposed to being expired. current luck gives the occupants of the house good life, while expired luck gives you accidents and expenses.

the problem here is that there is no general rule where to place water. it is case to case basis. mainly it depends on where your front door faces, and when you first moved into the house/ when was the house activated so to speak. in flying stars method, it is always advised to put water where the current water star is. we are now in the period number 8, so water should be placed where the water star 8 – in your flying star chart. you know this if you know how to use flying stars method in fengshui.

the bad thing about water placed in a wrong location is that this is usually the plot of rich fengshui practitioners. some rich fengshui practitioners, whenever they get pissed off by a neighbor, they would just buy the lot near to that neighbor – this location they know that when water is placed, their neighbor will go bankrupt/ go out of business/ or will be laid off from work. then they will turn this lot into a public swimming pool. in no time, their neighbor will be out of business or be laid off bec of bad fengshui due to the wrong placement of water – this case it is premeditated. when their neighbor move, they can buy their neighbor’s lot. so, water placed in a wrong location can get you in financial trouble.

so your main problem is that what does your pool activates when it is in front of your house? there is no cure for this, except to manipulate the chi distribution inside the house by shifting or tilting your main door’s facing (by renovation) in a specific direction, depending on the flying stars of your house.References :
