authentic chinese fengshui is a compilation of several fengshui concepts. these concepts are derived from the concepts of yin and yang. these concepts are used to calculate the location and/ or direction of good energy or bad energy – so we can use these to increase wealth or increase health of the occupants of the house – making life easier.

fengshui is not a belief; not a religion; not a philosophy; not a decorating style; not about zen; not about using statues, mirrors, bagua nor chimes.

fengshui depends on the chi (energy itself or energy from interactions) of the 5 elements (fire, earth, metal, water and wood). chi occupies space. the more space you have good fengshui, the more luckier you can be. but chi can be good, chi can also be bad. when good chi has been activated, good things happen like you win the lottery; when bad chi has been activated, bad things happen like the house burned down or someone living in the house got a heart attack. it is better to apply fengshui to the whole house, than to just 1 room of the house, even if you are just using that 1 room. to have a significant change on your life, it is better to have at least 67% 2/3′s good fengshui of the whole house.

it is difficult to explain the concepts. eva wong, wrote about flying stars fengshui – a master course in fengshui; lillian too wrote many books on 8 mansions and flying stars. but you need to understand that these books are basic and that they do not contain the secret uses of these 2 concepts.

there are other concepts like water placements. because there are many concepts that you can use, no 2 fengshui practitioners approach a problem the same way. but it is adviseable to use at least 2 or more concepts to support your fengshui solution/ application.

changing the arrangement of your furnitures, nor painting your house a certain color are not fengshui. they won’t have that significant good effect in your life.

remember that fengshui is not a belief. it affects you whether you believe it or not. the trouble with books are websites is that they offer information that you do not need or they are not fengshui. then you always try something and testing if they work or not. you are just wasting time, effort and money. it is better to hire someone to do it for you professionally. so you can get on with life.

most practitioners, when they make an audit to your home, they do not usually divulge what they have done – because this is a trade secret. it is often done without letting you knowing what it is for. it is just important for you to live your life in the house. because belief is not important in fengshui.

what is fengshui like?
flying stars: using the facing degree of your main door and when your house is first used, calculate the locations of the good energy combination and the bad energy combination. then when you have these (remember, these areas are not felt, not sensed – they must be calculated using flying stars), it is time to locate the main door, living room and bedroom at the good location; then put the kitchen, toilet and hallways at the bad location.

then you need to cross reference what you did above with other concepts. if there are conflicts, then you need a new solution.

this is the real fengshui. it is not as simple as arranging furnitures. it is mostly using a big compass called luo pan to measure the location of the house with its environment, measuring the facing degree of the front main door, see if you can use the good chi outside (usually a busy marketplace) to your advantage. there are many concepts and many applications to improve life significantly.

when a house has good fengshui, it usually change your life for the better 2-3 weeks from the time of the renovation/ application.

but you need to note that the more powerful a concept/ formula can be, it can also be deadly when used improperly, like you made a mistake by a half a degree, because you did not know it. family members can die because of this.References :
